Readers of Hugh Ross' book, Beyond the Cosmos,
may find themselves struggling to visualize the complexities of string
theory. That's where The Elegant Universe comes in. Theoretical
physicist Brian Greene introduces viewers to the wild and wacky world of
string theory. Originally aired as part of PBS's Nova series, this
visually stunning documentary gives viewers a solid overview of a very
complex subject. Although the video appeals to the "multi-universe"
hypothesis as a naturalistic alternative to supernatural creation, its
overall educational value is otherwise strong and highly engaging.
